Please Come Back! |
Also, there's been a recent trend that we need to discuss. Have a seat. This will only take a second.... *breathes in heavily*... participation is down. BIG time. Now, I don't expect every post to be everyone's favorite every time (but I actually kinda do;) and it's okay if you don't feel like taking a second to shoot me a suggestion (for those who have, this doesn't apply to you because I'm inexplicably grateful and I'm listening to them slowly but Shirley ;) because I like sharing and writing about the stuff I already know. I have faith in you guys and that y'all will warm up to the whole "sharing-my-music-with-Matt-so-he-can-find-new-stuff-too" idea eventually. BUT, according to my figure (yes, I actually have A single number to support this... that number being zero) NO ONE is reading this.

I'm Sorry! |
The Newton Faulkner post back in March has been the most viewed so far (for which I thank you profusely) but these last two posts have been virtually ignored (get it? like a computer?). Where did I go wrong? What can I do to make it up to you? Was it the Cars? I know they're 80's... I apologize! I'm sorry! I want to hear from you! What makes you view Newton Faulkner over 150 times and then stop altogether? Was he just THAT awesome and now you never need to listen to anything ever again? Please... SPEAK TO ME!! Take me back! I promise I'll do better!!! :( I put a sad face on there so you'd know I'm sincere.

matt you are great! you have the saddest face, it makes my heart cry. just know that i checked in on your blog.
ReplyDeleteDear Matt, I will oblige and write a comment. I always want people to read my blog too so I know how you feel! One band that I recently discovered and that I think is pretty good is I'm from Barcelona. But they're actually from Sweden...I particularly like the songs "Charlie Parker" and "Battleships". I don't know if it's your cup of tea but they are a pop group and upbeat. I also LOVE Brandon Flower's (lead singer of The Killers) new solo album, in particular the songs "Only the Young" and "Crossfire". You'll have to let me know if you like any of these songs too! Good luck with your blog!
ReplyDeleteFirst thought upon reading this post was the classic line from Airplane "Don't call me Shirley"
ReplyDeleteI read, even if I don't comment. I've made several mix playlists on my ipod with your picks and love them! Don't go away, either!
ReplyDeleteI totally read and listened to all the songs on the Cars post. Something's wrong with your tracking system, my man.
ReplyDeleteMatt! This is Miya from Book Repair. You left today before Rose Garden by Shad played on Groove Shark. Here's the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-mAMH5S6VA
ReplyDeleteAlso, I really like this one obscure song called "I Try." It's just one of those great songs that hasn't been overplayed in the 90s.
On behalf of Jerry (although he did not commission this comment) you should check out Eddie Vedder's "Ukulele Songs" album that just came out. Jerry's not the only one here that likes it!
